Loads of great lines in Withnail and I but my fave has to be when Withnail says to Danny that he could be spiked by any drug and still feel ok , then Danny says: "If I spiked you, you'd think a brain tumour was a birthday present!"
"I'm a cop." Tim Roth to Harvey Keitel in Reservoir Dogs. "...You C*nting F*cking C*ntbubble..." Ben Kingsley in Sexy Beast.

from the matrix: morpheus says "don't think you are, know you are." or "I can only show you the door, you have to walk through it."
Thanks Couchy - can you supply any more information on that Goa mix?....sounds interesting :)
"Let's go to work." Reservoir Dogs "Kill anything that moves!" The Wild Bunch "I never forget a face - but in your case I'll make an exception" Grouch Marx (Duck Soup?) A good line from an indifferent film. In Hannibal Agent Sterling rings up an italian cop to warn him not to mess with Dr Lector. "I know you can hear me! This man is very dangerous!" And then Hopkins lovely drawl... "Well hellooooooo Clarice..." And you can imagine Agent Sterling pulse rate hitting the roof. And from the Arnie film "6th day" which is pretty bad: arnie is talking to his clone about what it means to be human bla bla. This goes on for all of 60 seconds whereupon Arnie declares: "Euf philosophy!" Cracked me up.
American Psycho: "Look at that subtle off-white colouring, that tastefull sheen. Oh my god, its got a waternark" American Pie 2: "Hello ladies, my name's Steve Stifler and I have an 11 inch penis... AROUND, think about that" Taxi Drive: "You talking to me?"
my favorite line is 'light the lamp not the rat' from a muppets christmas carol. It makes me laugh 'cause its the only film that gets me in the christamas mood.

"Do you strum, it or pluck it?" "Personally, I like to slap it!" Jack Lemmon - Some Like It Hot

Thanks to everyone for their best lines, great reading.
"Luke, I am your father" put in context and at the time - it was as shocking for the audience as Luke himself.
The line from Ryan's Daughter when Rosie is leaving the shop- "There are loose women and there are whores and then there are British womens whores".
The best ever is in one of the more recent James Bond films (Tomorrow never dies, I think) when Pierce Bronsnan is playing with his new car and Q has the great line of "Grow up 007" then casually walks away. Classic!
My favourites... 'What we do in life echoes an eternity.' (Gladiator) 'If we bring a little joy into your humdrum lives, it makes us feel as though our hard work ain't been in vain for nothin'.' (Singin' In The Rain) 'You think you're big time. I'll show you big time.' (Scarface) 'I love the smell of napalm in the morning.' (Apocolypse Now) 'Surely you can't be serious.' 'I am serious, and stop calling me Shirley.' (Airplane) 'Fat man, you shoot a great game of pool.' (The Hustler) 'Infamy, infamy, they've all got it in for me.' (Carry On Cleo) 'It is possible that his intended victim was a man and that he made a mistake?' 'Mistake? In a nudist camp?' (Shot In The Dark) 'Let me tell you something my friend. Hope is a dangerous thing. Hope can drive a man insane.' (Shawshank Redemption) 'Let's assume, just for the moment, that you are a dishonest man.' 'Assume away.' (The Producers)
