i have it on catch up to watch later this evening, but it did look promising..
I thought it was well done, well acted and staged.
Found the toing and froing timewise confusing and unnecessary, apart from that enjoyed it.
I enjoyed it but (and I know I’m nit-picking) why did someone (can’t remember who) ask for a ‘full English’ for breakfast? We never used that term in the 60s did we? Also Mandy said someone had ‘passed’ instead of ‘passed away’. Yes....I know I should get out more!!!!!
only 5 more episodes to go
I enjoyed it but thought that Stephen Ward rather over-used the term "Little Baby".
Didn't watch it but I can't understand the title. Surely Ms Keeler was never put on trial because she did nothing she could be tried for!
Keeler was never on trial; she was a witness. Ward was accused of living off immoral earnings. He was found guilty and committed suicide the day before he was due to be sentenced.
That’s what he called her though, throughout their relationship.
I thought it was very good, and interesting to have the whole thing from her perspective.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, seeing it from her perspective for a change. Shall stick with it to the end I think.
Christine Keeler pleaded guilty to charges of perjury relating to evidence she had given during the trial of 'Lucky' Gordon. She was sentenced to nine months in prison, of which she served half.
I read Christine Keeler's autobiography some years ago. According to her, she was as naive as anything. Not sure I believe that.
She's coming over as naive in this series.
Mandy Rice Davies opened a bar in Tel Aviv which we used to go to. I think she came out better from the whole scandal than Christine Keeler.

Me too. I don't know anybody who enjoys stories being told with flashbacks, forwards and more flashbacks. I watched Ep 1 and at times didn't know whether it was this morning, yesterday or tomorrow. I don't think directors realise how infuriating it is to see "Three years earlier" then "One year earlier". One year earlier than what? Today? Earlier than the three years already mentioned? Plainly ridiculous, totally unnecessary and daft. Tell me the story in the order that it happened.
I'd completely forgotten about the perjury bit,but that was a sideshow.
I think some stories benefit from flashbacks (The Crown etc)

panto time - - oh yes she did !

see wikki I don't want to spoil it for others - I thought the same and had to look it up.

lot of it is true-ish - but is that necessary in a drayma ?
I thought the parts VERY well written - The Mand is always well turned out and knows what she wants. I hadnt realised that she was a 'friend' of Rackman.

the Christine has hair all over the place and has gormless dialog

I thought 'little baby' was probably a catchphrase of Stephen Wards. He has a rent free house at Cliveden and probably is supplying Astor et al with girls.

The first club where Johnnie Dark slashes Lucky - I thought it was like that. Keeler wanted Lucky to see her dancing with Dark but has no idea of the likely consequences. Keeler has made a catastrophic choice as Dark as her pimp. - at age 18 I think

Ward has a flat but no money - Keeler and Davies have no money and a lot of the time nowhere to live. keelers mother is also in need of money. Both of them call the police and seem to have no idea what happens then.

jason statham The Bank job? where they want photos of Princess Margaret - No 2 guess was drawings by ward of the Duke of Edinburgh which I think had been lost in a burglary

ward is gonna be indicted for living off immoral earnings and it is quite obvious by now they are living off him.

The rather vacant lying in the House of Commons is well done - when Profumo makes his speech saying he "knows nossing" - Mac - the one with the gtodger that doesnt work - congratulates him on a good speech - - BUT - - -
already knows that he is lying....

In his seventies - profumos chat up line was?
Have you been to bed with a 70 y o ? my dear I can recommend it .... jesus

I was at primary school when this unrolled first time around, and we were well aware of what was going on, and what a tart was - - a lady who allowed women to kiss her for money
oops men
but we also knew about Radclyffe Hall and the Well of Loneliness before you assk
// Christine Keeler pleaded guilty to charges of perjury after evidence she had given during the trial of 'Lucky' Gordon.//

Lucky G said he had a defence supported by two ( black ) men who the police say at his trial- - cant be found

they are then found
and give evidence which is er - not quite the same as Keelers. she does time for perjury

The window dressing side of Keeler is brought out in her interviews with the Dialy Mirror hacks - and also her inability ( the character not the actress) to see the natural consequences of what she has said
It's very interesting to watch it all unfold - I never realized how young CK and MRD were!
