//"Pigs In Space"! What did that used to be on? :o)//
The Muppet Show.
//they think they are all faked.//
They were I tell you. Further to my earlier answer the site at Dungeness was used for all the six subsequent "missions" and they filmed the whole lot in about five days ready for release at the appropriate time.
I was speaking to the producer in the Pilot Inn fifty years ago and told him he had chosen well. I explained that before I went to Dungeness I used to think that Leysdown on the Isle of Sheppey was the last place on Earth that God created. He agreed that Dungeness was a very good approximation to the lunar landscape. He explained that they had had to tidy it it up a bit to make it look realistic but once they'd sorted out the problem of the lighthouse and power station it was about as authentic as they could hope for. In these days of "super SloMo" technology you can, if you're careful, catch a glimpse of the odd fisherman's shack creeping into the corner of some shots, but all in all they did very well.
I was sworn to secrecy in the Pilot Inn and I was paid handsomely for my silence. Payment consisted of all the beer (Watney's Red Barrel) that I could drink for the five nights the crew were there together with a veritable cornucopia consisting of "Pilot Inn Home Made Steak & Kidney Pie", chips and peas (though one night I had to have cod & chips because the pies had run out and they were waiting for more to come in).
Anyway, fifty years I think is quite enough to maintain my silence even for such a huge reward. I can't believe that there are some people around who actually believe that men went to the Moon! They'll be saying we voted to leave the EU next! :-)
