I can see why she'd have had enough by the time of the next election. I think she has had a harder task to deal with than previous incumbents have had- and it seems a thankless task to me. I don't blame her at all. In all walks of life people can sometimes need a break- I bet Pep Guardiola will leave Man City in a year or two for a rest and new challenge- wouldn't be running away in my book.

No it would be grossly inaccurate.
She had to say (probably confirm) she wouldn’t be there by the next election in order to get her MPs to support her. The next election might not be as much as 3 years after Brexit happens.
I wouldn’t blame her for going though - I should think she’s had enough and of course “Brexit” won’t be the end of it: we still have the trade negotiations to look forward to :-)

I will admit to being totally lost with all the wheeling and dealings. We had a choice of two outcomes. My side did not win, but that's life.

T May inherited this mess and is trying to sort out a deal that is best for our country. All the details should have been considered before we were allowed to vote.

She is a figurehead (I actually find her creepy) and is being advised by politicians and civil servants. She is not to blame for all the mess.

I don't envy her the task.

if the prime minister had known then what she knows now do you think she would have started the leaving process . I would have came back to the people and said look this is what you voted for do you want me to go ahead with this or do we have a new referendum .That way she would have had the support of the people because we would have been wiser . I’d still leave .No third referendum .

gness.....you are correct, dave isn't a whinger and in many ways it is unfortunate that he was the author.....but, read his OP again, nowhere did he ask for other peoples opinion as it was a statement of fact as felt bny dave.
You have been on AB long enough to know that a post like that will be open to differing opinions and interpretations. I have been wanting to comment about AB and my perception of doom and gloom and I suppose naomi felt the same.....as do other Abers ...I assume.
What more appropriate way to voice our opinions when the window of opportunity presents for our opinions to be voiced?
Nothing against yopu, nothing against dave......but an opinion about AB.
