I doubt it, each set will have similar share of general knowledge questions covering food/sport/geography etc etc
The reason the contestants are given a choice is to show that there's no bias toward the chaser. Allegedly.
The fundamental flaw with The Chase is that the Chasers have no skin in the game - they get their fee no matter what. If we were told that if they lose they don't get their fee, then that WOULD make it interesting.

And the celebrity/charity ones are even worse, as the Chasers naturally would not want to be seen to deprive a charity of a substantial sum, so I'm sure they don't try their utmost to win.
Its a pity they ask so many ridiculous American questions IMO. There are other countries that exist! Do they think we are all so besotted with that country that we know all the sporting rules, all of the state capitals, all the history and all the presidents? Sorry but I get really annoyed about it!
Good goalie, if you watch the Celebrity Chases you will see that the celebrities lose on many occasions

Apart from the fact that one set gets asked of the team, and the other set gets asked of the Chaser, and they do appear to be different?

I assume you mean, is there a difference in the level of difficulty between the two sets of questions, and I would suggest that they would be similar, since the team gets to choose freely, and there is never a noticeable gap in difficulty between the two sets of questions - only that the Chaser is always working solo, and often has to answer far more rapidly that the Team to get to their mark inside the two minutes time allotted.
