What did you think of the the show with new host Jeremy Clarkson, thought he was good putting contestants at ease but contestants not brilliant so far bit Chase like telling their history beforehand, still miss Chris.

Bit grim all that information regarding a songbird. First contestant a bit too lively. Don't like new format of setting targets. Questions too easy last night. It puts the show on a businesslike footing when Jeremy says --'When I press the button the money will be on the way to your bank'.

Philbin, that's right, thanks, woofgang, got my Regises in a twist.
I found it much improved tonight, the programme flowed along at a better pace.
I’m not sure Clarkson will have won everyone over explaining how he likes to eat that rare bird. However he specialises in being non PC
Last night's questions seemed a lot easier!
Certainly did not win me over vernon, I was disgusted, fancy treating a little song bird like that and then eating it 'bones and all'. I never liked him, now I despise him and won't watch the show again. Hope he doesn't get a series.

I enjoy all comments which are great but yours Andres did the summoning up.
I must have missed the bit about the songbird what was that all about?
tamaris- Jeremy Clarkson seemed to take a delight in telling us how the tiny songbirds are a great delicacy (Think it was in France). How they are trapped, cooked alive and every part of their bodies are eaten. It's too horrific to go into more detail but you can always google it if you really want to know.
J.C. is a 'man's man'.

I can't stand him...and not because I'm not a man.

///cooked alive///

No, they were drowned in a Vat of Brandy (I think) and then cooked.
baldric^^^^I stand corrected---thrown alive into the vat and drowned. Horrible way to treat these little songbirds.
Thank you andres. It must have been on the night i missed the programme.

Could comment every night on this, Ask The Host, Jeremy doesn’t come across as knowledgable as we think he is or else he is spoofing, Rene Magritte question last night and road signs previously dithered and wrong if they wanted a clever knowledgable host should have got the heavyweight brains of Stephen Fry or David Mitchell

What did you think of tonights show. The 'ask the host' lifeline is a dead loss. Felt sorry for the woman who lost out on the big money especially since her husband had given the right answer. Still can't work out how they can have observers in each contestant's home for the phone a friend.
I can't believe the woman who thought The Balearics were part of Italy. Absolutely toe-curling.

Ask the Host is a Spoof, no-one has got any help from him yet.
ANDRES, not sure about the original series but for the latest one, there are six folk in the fastest finger first section. Each one can have up to two friends so that means a maximum of twelve folk who could be 'phoned.

They will know who the six are and their friends in advance so they can easily have an observer in each address in case they are chosen.
Aren't they in Greece ? ;o) lol... didn't watch it...10 mins last night was more than enough for me
