What did you think of the the show with new host Jeremy Clarkson, thought he was good putting contestants at ease but contestants not brilliant so far bit Chase like telling their history beforehand, still miss Chris.

Bit grim all that information regarding a songbird. First contestant a bit too lively. Don't like new format of setting targets. Questions too easy last night. It puts the show on a businesslike footing when Jeremy says --'When I press the button the money will be on the way to your bank'.

Clarkson did a good job in my opinion.
I like Clarkson and I think he did a very good job. Looking forward to the rest of the week.
I thought it was a bit dire but......the contestant that was the first to go on was awfully slow, and JC didn’t hurry him along like Chris Tarrant would have done.

Rather slow and too many, what’s the word, pungent (pregnant?) silences. No. That’s not the word, but it dragged a bit. :))
OH it as awful. I thought Clarkson struggled and there was none of the tense atmosphere that Chris usually creates.
yet to watch it...but not expecting much to be honest
there wasn't much to begin with, minty, even when Tarrant had the helm.
Afraid I Can't bear Jeremy Clarkson so, although I used to like the programme, I won't be watching.
I think it had had it's day in Chris Tarrant's time. I can't stand Jeremy Clarkson, so won't be watching it anyway.
I thought it was pretty good, had a laugh at the bloke who thought Umbro was a greek godess!
Tarrant was very good. I once watched the US version and it was dire, the host (Regis Toomey?) made no attempt at all to build up tension, just plodded along reading out the questions in a monotone.
I think it was Regis Philbin...he used to be a morning show host with Cathy Lee Gifford....he was her straight man. The problem with being a straight man is you need a lively partner.
I like my quiz shows to be quick-fire...really dislike several minutes per question.
Bit too slow . Might alter as the week goes on. Can anyone tell me how do they do the 'ask a friend'? Last night the first lad phoned his friend and after a long interval the friend did answer. Jeremy then said an observer was with the friend to make sure he didn't google the answer.Surely they don't have observers in every contestants friend's houses?
I thought that JC came over as being very nervous at first and the first contestant didn't help, he was dire! By the end he, JC, seemed far more comfortable and I enjoyed it, looking forward to the rest of the week. Maybe it'll become a regular fixture.
I will be watching it the rest of the week too, to see how it pans out. Like the others I found it a bit dragged out, and the first contestant looked as miserable as sin when he won £8,00O., !!!!
Thought it was much better tonight.

Yes, tonight was much better, good contestants made all the difference.
Yes, they were more lively and seemed to be enjoying it
I saw Saturday's episode. I thought it was very slow, especially with the first very dull (in every sense) contestant. They should have made sure all the players were at least a bit interesting and knowledgable.
I liked Clarkson. He was warm and friendly, but also bristled with impatience with the slow guy.

Agree it is a bit slow just two contestants and thought tonight’s contestant David was a bit too cocky and over familiar with Jeremy not the same tense atmosphere and all this setting a target and asking Jeremy a bit much old format was better.
