Sorry don't like the new Detective Mooney - doesn't suite the role

The detective should have certain mannerisms about him
Do you know what I mean ?

Do you agree with me ?

Another BBC loada carp
It is poor.
Rehashed cliché after cliché.
Unfunny comedy.
Another BBC loada carp.

All detective shows follow a set formula - nothing new there

I just don't think the new actor suits the role
Mr Alba used to like DiP and avoided this as he didn't like the trailers.
Suggested he kept an open mind but he said the trailers were always showing the best bits of a programme so it was a 'no thank you'
I LOVE this programme and was absolutely furious when they cast the new guy. But I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt and see how he goes.
I've enjoyed all the incarnations of this programme & think Ardal O'Hanlon's been given a character that suits him.
Yes I didn’t think he was too bad. And all the rest of the cast remained which helped.
He was in the last 2 (3? - without a Google) episodes of the last series.
Kris Marshall was definitely my favourite, not sure about this one yet.
have it recorded for later..saw the last episodes when hand over took place..keep thinking Father Ted and Dougal !
I think he will grow on me tbh
I really like DIP - it does what it says on the tin. A light hearted murder mystery in a fabulous setting with very likeable characters.

I think Detective Mooney has fit in just fine but I still miss the most beautiful woman in the world, Camille, and Fidel. JP still needs to sort his accent out, when he first came on the show he kept slipping in to his native London accent and he still struggles a bit
is this with Ardal O'Hanlon, if so, going on the trailer he should stick with comedy.
I quite like Ardal in the part. I wasn't keen on Kris Marshall as I always see him as a bit of an idiot. The best was Ben Miller, I was gutted when he left.
It is a comedy drama, emmie. His character is very likeable
isn't this where people end up dead on a small paradise island, its a comedy drama i suppose but its a bit like midsomer murders but in the heat of the tropics.
It's exactly like that, Emmie, except with a bit of humour.

I think Kris Marshall was very good in the role .

A very funny moment in one of the episodes was when he was driving down the road and nearly knocked this woman down .
Gets out of the vehicle only to realise that the woman was someone from back home ; who he obviously had had a thing for .

The following interaction between the two was very funny .

Anyone recall the episode in question ?
Quite liked it as it is 'easy watching' - you don't need a science degree or subtitles to tell you who is who and what is going on. Thought he tended to be a bit 'Columbo' ish but it'll do for me.
