I agree, not a very satisfactory end, and sad too.
Brilliant episode but very sad.
Which channel was it on and will it be on catch up ?.
It was on BBC1 Tony, I expect it will be on catchup.
It was going to be either him or Bacchus. I wish that they had shown the first part again.
Was BBC1 8.30 till 10 - should be available.
Thanks both.
Confused now after Zebo's post. It WAS a stand-alone last episode wasn't it? Haven't watched it yet but haven't a clue what happened in the last episode. I've got the memory of a goldfish!
Yes, it was stand-alone. No need to watch the other episode of the series.
Question Author
it was kind of linked to part 1 that was shown a good few months ago..was postponed because there was something going on politicallly that was too close to the truth I remember...quite what I can't recall..might be on iplayer ?
Question Author
think the police corruption case linked it
Thanks both for that. Guess I've got to be ready with the Kleenex have I?
Question Author
yup although I was kind of expecting it...
For a series of this quality it was a lacklustre ending, I cant say much more without spoiling it for those who havent watched it yet.
At least they've opened the door for a new series.
It was the second part of a double, with 7 months between them, that's why I wanted to see Part 1 again, the whole story was about police and political corruption. I hope they don't do a Taggart and keep it going with a new cast.
A spoiler might have been nice Minty - I haven't watched it yet. I can probably assume the ending now!
Zebo, I think it will be more like a Morse/Lewis transition.
How long does one have to wait before posting a comment that might be a spoiler ?

I need to say something but one could wait for weeks , months ... in case someone intends to watch it
Baz - As long as the OP has put Spoiler in the heading it wouldn't matter, in this case that didn't happen so you may as well post now.
