After enduring what seems months of bad news; bombings, shootings and just general doom and gloom. I have been overjoyed to find out I will become a grandfather on Tuesday. My daughter is adopting a 12 week old baby girl, who happens to share the same birthday as me.

Is this your first grandchild? A cute little girl for everybody to spoil.

My dad met his first grandchild a few times and he was in total love. When he died she was about 7 months old and she sang at the funeral (not necessarily at the correct time) and was just a joy to be with. She is now 12 and she has two siblings.

My dad was a grumpy old git but his whole face lit up when he was with E. I am sure that will be you too ☺
