I trust the Colonel to know more than me about this so if he thinks it's ill judged then fair enough.
//But General Sir Nick Carter, chief of the general staff, said: 'I want to make it very clear that there will be no lowering of training or qualifying levels for soldiers in ground close combat roles.”//

Go tell that to the marines!! When we were obliged to do a tougher A.F.T. the female firearms personnel were allowed to get away with a different ,easier style of press ups because their bodies were incapable of doing the standard one.

Paid in blood ? I knew women were violent but surely not that much.
perhaps at a certain time of each month OG.
I am very unsure about this, they really don't have the same physical strength as the males, that is my only concern apart from what would happen to them if they were held captive by a load of Muslims, most likely repeatedly raped and abused. Most likely being a female captive would be far worse than a male captive, however these women must be aware of this and willing to take the risks! I cant say it doesn't worry me!
Maybe get an all female troop and get their periods synced and then release them on the enemy just for a few days each month! They would slaughter them.
For chrissakes what is wrong with you lot.....

A woman with a gun is exactly as strong as a man with a gun.

And anyway - is physical strength the deciding factor in what makes a good soldier?

Doesn't team skills, leadership and tactical ability also feature?

One point that I agree is still valid...we view captured female soldiers differently to the way we view captured male soldiers.

I think this is something built in.
Excuse the grammatical snafus all over that post.

Actually...theirs no excuse.

(Joke!!!)
If there is to be payment in blood let's hope it's at least formed into something like black pudding.
