Just another night in or out on the razz?
When I was younger NYE was party time (and more than a few wobbley pops)
Then came family and it was a few fireworks at midnight with the kids (and a few wobbley pops.)
Now i'm single again, 48 years of age, and its Jools Holland and Hootenany on the tv!!! (and a few wobbley pops again)
God, I wish I was young again...
So? on the razz or on the tv?

Happy new year either way.

and have a wobbley pop on me.........
Don't we all, Nailit, but then, there's been lots of sadness along the way! Hoping you have a great 2015 xx
I always hated socialising on New Year's Eve, always seemed so forced somehow. Last time we did anything on New Year's Eve was 1999 when we went to a freind's for a get together (but I was pregnant with boy #1 so it was even worse as I was stone cold sober). These days we just treat it as any evening but I will go mad and do a roast beef dinner tomorrow.
Same nailit, 'cept I won't be watching Jools Holland as I can't stand him or the programme.

All the best :-)
Same to you Nailit..... Jools and a wobblypop or two is better than a night shift....;0)
We'll sit up and welcome in both the UK New Year and the French one, an hour later, each with a tot of a very expensive and delicious whisky (Bunnahabhain, single Islay malt). The bottle only comes out at this time of year, so it makes it very special. TV being rubbish, we will read, write, play Scrabble, watch a DVD or whatever. Happy New Year to all.
Been through all the stages you mention, no out on the razz these days - TV, some quizzing then a mad round of skyping and phone calls around the chimes and watch the fireworks over the water with a glass of something nice in hand.

A Very Happy New Year.♥
My uncle is having a friends and family only party in his pub. I was really looking forward to it until today but I just can't be bothered. I start thinking about getting home and how cold it will be. I'm getting old.
Dunno what it's like where anyone else lives, but round here they're charging to get in the pubs!

Laugh of it is they're crap holes at the best of times, can't imagine anyone daft enough to pay to get in them to see in 12 o'clock.

Dont the French
get theirs first?
Surely the French New Year will be an hour earlier?
Ummmm, life begins at 40, enjoy
My best New Year was when I got engaged. (Not to Mr T....some other chap...whose name I still remember.) :-)

Tilly, nostalgia and tears
All happen on New Years Eves
48 is a babe in arms.....
Yes, OK, I still get it wrong (after 13 years) and we watch some strange TV programmes when I do, and miss others..... we just celebrate both, which leads me to say have a doubly happy 2015 all of you!
...et Bonne Année à vous et à tous mes autres amis en France.
Merrci bien Blackadder, meme a vous.
In bed. It's just another day.
Tonight - on the razz then the TV. Then work tomorrow unfortunately. I hope I can exercise some willpower.
