I'm off to see my Dad later and I must take him something. If There are no eggs I shall have to get him a pair of socks!

Hard boil an egg and paint it, Tilly
Our local shops (chain and independent) usually have Easter eggs until Easter Monday or the Tuesday after. I would think you should manage to get one, even get a decent discount too if you're lucky!
Is there a shortage this year? I've been to 3 supermarkets looking for a Bourneville egg with no luck. Yesterdyt my Tesco only had 3 varieties of eggs on the shelves, all cheap kiddies ones. OH will have to settle for bars.

I'll pop into Sainsbury's on the way. They sell chocolate and socks there.

The thing is, because he's diabetic he's not supposed to have too much chocolate. Perhaps socks would be better.........or beer.

Sibs, I wish I had thought of that earlier. I don't have time to boil an egg now, plus I don't have any paints.
Thorntons Diabetic choc .....or is that vile?
I went to our Tesco this morning, there was one Thorntons egg in a battered box and a large amount of One Direction themed eggs.
probably vile Scorpio, although I may well be corrected.
I'd think they'd be as vile as the bread for gluten sufferers and that IS vile)

Tilly, does Dad like puzzles? Maybe a bumper puzzle book for a change?
The Asda and Tesco near me (NW) have none. I know this as people bombarded us (Co op) almost gibbering with fear in case we'd none either- we did, though down to a paltry few by the time i'd left.
Take him six nice brown hen's eggs instead, tilly.
they've been selling them since December 26

so it's no wonder they're running out; some of them may be going off by now.
Don't get why people have left it until today to buy them if they're that important.

Don't mean you Tilly, but the average customer at work was utterly crestfallen when we didn't have the specific egg they were after today, despite us having the buggers for nigh on months now.
everyone forgets fathers till the last moment, B00, Jesus probably forgot to get one for God.
I bought all mine in one hit at Asda about a week ago - the flipping looks I got! You'd swear people had never seen someone buy 25 eggs before :)
You were supposed to be selling them cheap thinking you'd missed the chance by now.
Nar jno, think He nailed that one.

;-)

hello tilly

just got back from several hours in peterborough with my god-daughter ---- easter eggs everywhere
Step-daughter just bought one in Tesco Local.
If it's not too late to catch you Tilly, Sainsburys have just reduced their easter eggs down to 80p. Going like hot cakes, I mean hot cross buns!!! :)
Went in Waitrose this morning and there were plenty in there. Would have thought they would have started reducing the prices by now but obviously they are hoping for desperate people, like you Tilly!
I saw plenty in both sainsburys and M&S earlier...being reduced.
