Good morning from the Forth & Clyde Canal @ Maryhill in Glasgow :-)
Hello boaty xx Quite a quiet start to the day here too,
Morning wharton. Have you ever read a book by Robert Douglas called "night song of the last tram"? It's all about his childhood, growing up in Maryhill in the 40s and 50s. It's VERY good, funny and sad. I loved it. I think you might too.

Morning wharton and jan xxx

If it stays like this for the rest of the day I won't complain!

What are you doing on the F&C wharton?
Question Author

Yes boaty, I did. I've told soooo many people about the Robert Douglas books and everyone seems to have enjoyed them. Brought back many memories for a lot of people.

I'm meeting some friends about 7am and then we're off for a walk along the prom prom prom where the brass monkeys play tiddly om pom pom. After that,e we'll have breakfast somewher but not anywhere at the ghastly Marina. What a dump of an area that is. It's just like one gigantic sink estate, but has airs and graces waaaayyyy above itself. Do you know it? Have you ever been there?
When is your next Christmas canal trip boaty? Is it a busy time for bookings?
Question Author

There are Santa cruises every weekend in December, both days, with santa on board, every child gets a present and every adult gets a mince pie and a seasonal drink.

The charters are during the week.
