when joe went off with the Pals the school lads pelted the datchund with stones cos it was 'german' and they killed it and i assume bert buried it with the baby on the moor
I know Maxine Peake can look a bit scraggy from time to time, lilac, but that's a tad harsh!
Had to put up with it as the Mistress chose it. Then she fell fast asleep and had the neck to ask what it was about when she woke up. Not a clue.

Not a clue either, and I stayed awake.
we don't need facebook we can debate it here poppy lol
I'm finding the dialogue quite difficult to understand. I do remember the little dog being pelted to death last week though. What I don't understand is why the pregnant girl is only looking for it now after 5 months!? And why was John running after her whilst she was running and calling for Baby? I presume that was the dogs name.
yes baby was the dog, i think he spotted she was pregnant maybe and had an inclining it was his grandchild? who knows, next week they might all have won the lottery and be living in't big 'ouse
not an inclining lol
Of course Dot, I never thought of that. I wonder where the incling came from. Did he spot them together in last weeks episode?

The young suffregette girl reminds me of Helen Baxendale.
Sounds like I didn't miss much then! Can't wait for Endeavour next Sunday.
..... and spotted straight away that the chap playing the part of the policeman is so obviously Alun Armstrong's son. Spitting image.
Glad it's not just me bobbie. Had to keep turning the sound up and I'm certain I've still got reasonable hearing!
Also SO confusing plot wise even Mr YS couldn't seem to keep up and he's usually better than me at following things!
Only just caught up with this thread. I couldn't understand what the two boys were collecting sixpences for. Apart from the fact that in 1914 sixpence was a lot of money and little boys were unlikely to have that amount. Was it for the war effort, or just a scam?
I couldn't understand what the two boys were collecting sixpences for.

I thought it was a dare for the lad to whack the strict teacher?
thank goodness i'm not the only one confused, I had to keep thinking if id seen the week before or not very confusing
cant understand why everyone turns their back for the scarred chap i thought he was going to be terribly disfigured but it's not that bad
I have watched two episodes and will not be watching any more. I gave up during episode two when the boys began collecting the sixpences. I even rewound to try and find out why they did so but to no avail. I’ve no idea who the old lady in bed was, no idea whether she was dead or alive when the boy cut her wrist. I‘ve also no idea why a bloke drunk water that had been used to scrub a floor and even less why, having drunk half a bucketful he went on to suck the remains from the scrubbing brush. I don’t know why the young girl propositioned the drunkard and not a clue who the father of the “posh” girl’s baby might be or whether she was raped or consented. I don’t know where Tom Armstrong’s character fits into the scheme of things or how he came by his gammy leg.

My concentration may not be what it was but there are so many things I do not know about The Village (and it seems I’m not alone) that it cannot be just me. I sometimes wonder if the people who make these productions watch them through before inflicting them on their gullible viewers.
I will carry on watching and hopefully some or all of these questions will be anwered. I have nothing better to do on a Sunday evening.

I know, I'm sad!
new judge jo is the father she seduced him before he went to war
