Owd - R.i.p.

I have just received a message from Mrs. Owd that Owd passed away peacefully and, as Mrs Owd, described it, sleepily, this afternoon in his hospice, his family all around him.

Mrs Owd asked me to convey her deep thanks to all ABers to helped him battle with this awful disease but he has now finished with the daily battles that had beset him.

I am sorry to pass you this news and I am sure that you will join him in wishing him peace for his transfer on to the future, and that you will remember him in your thoughts and prayers, as well as Mrs Owd.

We didn't know him that well but a man of great humour and charm came across, a man with his artistic side too, a man with a sardonic, dry remark, but overall a man who loved Mrs Owd and his family before anything.

Oh dear, thanks for letting us know DTC. It's not a great surprise in the circumstances and as you say it's an end to the battles he was facing. Our thoughts are with Mrs Owd and all those who knew Owd
