What is going to be the third thing?

This morning part way through my shower it stopped, no amount of switchingit on and off did any good. Had to rinse off in the bath. OH looked at it, it had tripped, he put the trip back, only cold water coming through, element gone.
Put TV on later to record something and picture keeps coming and going, tried new scart, ok for a while then goes again, OH reckons loose connection. We are watching tv on the 17/18 set from the motorhome until we can get it looked at.
He went into Gloucester and bought a new shower. We had to go out later so cannot fix it until tomorrow. Expensive day. What is going to be next?

Hopefully not your car carandog. I had something similar a few years ago, we'd been on holiday got home, sorted the washing etc, sat down to watch TV. it wouldn't come on, half hour later my washer stopped mid cycle, then I found the electric oven wouldn't reach it's temperature. Had to have an engineer out. Only explanation was an electrical surge?

I don't understand how domestic appliances manage to let you down in unison, I can recall at least 3 christmas days where the tv and the oven have broken or one of the hotplates have failed or the microwave stops working.........

find a match quick, quick now snap the match in half....now that is supposed to stop bad luck. I know it sounds like a complete load of boddocks, however it might just work.

dotty, we had three Christmas Days in a row where the waste disposal clogged up and wouldn't work and we had to go out in the freezing cold and poke curtain wires up the drainpipes to declogify them.

flump, I thought that was only true if you had broken something. If you break two things then break the match to make the third thing. Doesn't work of course, but if it keeps someone happy, then what the heck!

weecalf the shower stopped because the element had gone, it is a safety feature.
My old gran always used to snap matches if she broke something, she said it was because things always happened in 3s.

I certainly hope it isn't the car. I too hope he can do something with them both tomorrow, he has fitted a shower before as we get through them quite regularly, I think this will be the 3rd while we have lived here (9 yrs) The tv is 2 yrs 8 months old. Will have to check prices for repair or may be cheaper to buy a new one.

Owd that won't happen, we have just come back from France with the M/H loaded up with wines.
Just done what you all advised, snapped a match in half, hope it works.
It's making my eyes ache watching this little tv, when any writing comes on the screen I have to move right up to the screen to read it.

Star, thanks for that, I thought it was for bad luck in general. Never worked for me though....never could find a match !! Carrandrog, hope all is well now .
