Well what did you think of Dallas? Sue Ellen has not changed much and still kept her figure. The story line seems to be good with lots of twists already.

I didn't see it, but I don't think the cast would have signed up if it didn't have promise. I read that Bobby has a dark secret.
is it that he's afraid to come out of the shower?
He's out of the shower, Bibble, hence the wrinkles, 20 odd years will do that to you :-)
I taped it and watched later on last night, I liked it ,didnt think I would, but the bit I liked best was seeing they had all aged especially the poison dwarf Lucy ! storyline not bad either.
undecided at the mo. i kinda liked it but at the same time.....

i really don;t like jesse metcalf, think that's putting me off and john ross has picked up a caterpillar on his lip. bobby's eyebrows have shrunk whilst jr's has grown
It was enjoyable especially if you have watched the first series. Bit baffling about Bobby saying he was going to sell Southfork and then he says he promised his mother Miss Ellie that there would be no digging for oil, wouldn't matter if he sells it, would it!. Will have to record it in future as the ads really spoil it.
I enjoyed it - good to see they are all still scheming & fighting! I hope Sue Ellen's still a stonking drunk, though we didn't see that last night.

A couple of questions though... I don't remember Bobby 'selling his son' - who's his real Mum & dad / What happened to Pam, Bobby's first wife / is Cliff Barnes going to be in it / And who did shoot JR??!!

I think I stopped watching it the last year or two it was on - I was young then & had a life!!
It was Kirsten who shot JR, never knew Bobby sold his son.
I remember the days when I had a life lol
Christopher is adopted.

I watched all of the last series and I had a life too but it will all come together in next episode as there was quite a lot of different things happening in first one last night to digest what was happening. Didn't Cliff Barnes drive up in that car at the end.
Its repeated again on Friday. Ken Kerchaval (Cliff) is in a show in Manchester soon!
Why made this prog .H ave the moguls run out of ideas ?Overbrated then and totally unwatchable .Have audiences not grown pure drivel .in other word the two minutes looking for the remote did not impress me
I'm not sure yet though I never watched much of the original, like Dynasty better. Some promising storylines but not sure I'll stick with it.
You made your mind up after 2 minutes, weecalf?
Ok 1m 23 seconds
Bobby's son didnt they adopt and then were blackmailed for more money ?long time ago but thats what I remember. All will be revealed during the series because if Bobby wants to sell Southfork what about JR'S half share Miss Ellie would not have left him out.the intrigue starts again.....
Any discussion about Dallas is futile without the input of Terry Wogan. I have recorded it, but have not yet viewed. Does it still have the same theme music? That was the best part of the show.
Question Author
Yes still same opening music. We need to give it a chance as so much to try and remember what happened in last sries. I am sure it will take on in the next episode and begin to understand it more.
The reason I asked about the theme tune was because when Dallas was at its height in the early 80s I was teaching in a middle school. i was frequently called upon to play the piano for assembly in the absence of the music teacher (who had only one tune in her repertoire). One day I played the children out to the Dallas theme. At break time I was summoned to see the deputy headmistress who told me that I should not be so frivolous in future; I had nearly single-handedly destroyed the discipline of the school because the children, instead of filing out in silence had marched along the corridors singing the theme to "la". Needless to say the rest of the staff, including the Headmaster, were more appreciative.
