Do you or did you ever have a nickname and what was it ?

The only name I was to be called was Tuesday, as after my mammy gave birth to me she said to my daddy "Let's call it a day dear ?"

During school years i had more nicknames than I can recall. None of which seemed to have a reason, they were just used by others and stuck.

i cannot say what it was because it was a derivitive of my surname, and i cannot reveal my surname on here.

My brother couldn't talk very well when I was born so rearranged my real first name and it stuck, I do like it so have kept it.

A friend whose surname was Thirkle was called magic.
One of my daughters who was born with severe eczema and was covered in scabs for years was called'scabby national' by some at school. Can't children be cruel?
An uncle of mine, years ago, had a row with a member of the family and when my young cousin asked him what his name was he replied, "Oh my name's mud."
From then onwards my cousin called him Uncle Mud.
