It's like we've let Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen loose on one of our great monuments...

OM actual G...wrong on so many levels! lol
surely a rather late April fools joke.
I assumed it was a News Thump joke ... but it seems all to horribly real ... Gordon Bennett
at least it wasn't a giant turnip.

I thought it was a joke, I'm not sure it isn't, I'm hoping it is because god how will the rest of the world view THAT??? Unfeckingbelievable is what it is.
Jaysus.
It's ugly and tacky - is it just up for a short time? Or are they going to have to wait until the cliff erodes back a bit further and the artwork goes for a swim?
It actually looks photoshopped - maybe it is a wind up.
Question Author
If it is a wind up all the major newspapers and TV stations are in on it, it's everywhere- just google 'Roy the Redeemer' :(
Looks bloody crap doesn't it? After having a google about, it doesn't seem to be a joke.
That is appalling - it's just up the road from us ... and they have sited it in front of the Dover Patrol memorial, which is (IMO) an unfortunate location since people go there to pay their respects. Talking about ruining one of the iconic sites in England.... who the hell gave planning permission for that?!
Tacky and offensive.
I hope it's a windup...................let's face it, he's ugly.
Thats what I like to hear crafty, tell it the way it is lol.
Wow so classy, I wonder if they do commissions.
they can't leave that there, it's a bloody eyesore. It's death to his career as well, as who can possibly take it seriously.
Hideous! Who gave planning permission for that to be erected?
I'm offended, and I live near it. It's a travesty.
They've just said on the local TV news that as soon as they put it up, they had to take it down again, because it's too windy. Thank you, wind.
boxtops - maybe there is a God after all
