Sherlock Holmes took a gun from the police and threatened them with it and ran off with Watson as a hostage. So why did they carry on as if nothing had happened? Why weren't the police still looking for Holmes and Watson. So why wasn't Mrs. Hudson surprised when Watson came back?
I'm thinking something like Mission Impossible= a Sherlock mask for Moriarty. Doesn't explain why the medical staff didn't notice something though!!
the hanging dummy at the start may have been a bit of a clue...perhaps he jumped and hung onto a rope somehow...either wearing a harness somehow, or by using a rope to break his fall... then jumping down the last few feet and playing dead right at the last minute...
the paramedics seemed to pull him into an archway, into the building...rather than an ambulance...
jno, I'm afraid that doesn't hold water (but what does?) It suggests that Sherlock was lying in a pool of blood feigning death, and his best (Ex-army doctor) friend accepts his condition !!
Joke - the building was a hospital.
Two thoughts. In the original series of stories Conan Doyle killed off SH at the Reichenbach Falls, but there was such a public outcry for more that he brought him back and wrote more stories. Secondly, the original stories were written in the person John Watson as a sort of memoir (like in this series JW is writing a blog), so there is no reason for this to be a final one as JW could produce his memoirs in any order and give new stories at any time. Anthony Horowitz is writing new stories now.

Well the OH is out tonight, so I am planning junk food, wine and Iplayer!!!!!!!!!
I've just watched it and what other people have said all makes sense but no one seems to have thought that Moriarty isn't dead. There's no way that Sherlock's nemesis would be killed off. He knew Sherlock would panic and not check his 'corpse'.
Same here Mattk, I expected to see Moriarty leering from the roof, there's no way he can be dead!
