before sqads comes in and says Bah Humbug!!!!!
Anyone else "stepping" into Christmas like me? wrote half my cards out, wrapped some gifts for Ben yesterday, going to look for a few more for my daughter , son-in-law and friends today, Bill and I have given eachother the holiday in Portugal, although the family paid for it, Bless them, we need spendies!
so we decided instead of blowing money on gifts , we will say, Right! thats our Christmas present, but still going to get him something to open on the 25th,,,he-he
I told him last night, I will go straight away and get my fruit and candles when we get to Albufeira, so's I can put them in the apartment, well! it is my first time away at Christmas, I'm a home mummy...LOL
already downloaded the Christmas songs and Carols onto my ipod touch, so hopefully I will have the familiar sights and sounds of Christmas in the Algarve.
If you start this early, don't you find by the time you get to Christmas Day, you are fed up with it? All that artifically created anticipation there'll be nothing left by the time you get there.
It really gets on my Tapas (that what t!ts gets changed to) how Christmas gets earlier every year. It'll be a period from June to May the following year at this rate. Although I did read of one guy who is so hooked on Christmas, he eats Christmas Lunch with all the trimmings, every day of the year.
Hi yes Bobbi I get all my main presents done early as I find if you leave it too late they are out of stock. Yes cards are all done .But would not like to be away for xmas but I am sure you will have a good time. Then I just pick up bits and pieces as I cant be doing with the mad rush around .
they can't burst my bubble sara..LOL
I have had to do this early with going away, but I am enjoying every minute of it, the cards I have written, are what I call my special cards, the others will follow.
Bobbi x
Dear Bibbisox I've just been shopping on Amazon and nearly finished all my shopping . Just got to make my special peoples' Christmas cards and I am done. Except for buying a replacement tin of Roses ( I feel a bit 'ick now if I am honest.)
I am getting him a swiss railway watch as I like the design. last year was a weather station ( a bit like an up to date barometer) I get horribly stuck every year.
