hubby had affair at work with a junior member of staff before we got married. she is feeling scorned, has filed a claim that she fears for her safety?? from me i think and chance of promotion she had already been offered. hubby has to work from home, she is at work. hubby was asked qs over phone from hr and his boss before he was sent home. hubby was sent doc to amend questions more fully. he was never told what allegations were before asking qs on phone. since tues a.m he has been asking what allegation(s) are and still no reply back only that hr said he cant say anymore and he is still working behind the scenes. i fear that cos he is a higher position he will get fired but it takes 2 to tango. the qs also related back to an incident when hubby mentioned inappropriate attire back in feb to her but hes also had to reprimand others on this in the past and has no qualms about this complaint. think she is saying about safety and sexual harrasment tho his boss told him mon eve that she had phoned him on sun about her safety. it is all sour grapes, a woman scorned, but dont get why she would lose out on promotion and also why weve not heard anything back. surely this is wrong, leaving us in limbo. wonder if they think they have cocked up procedure as allegations never stated before qs asked or maybe they are trying to work out a pay off. more time goes on more worried i am getting, maybe they are collecting evidence together tho they stil havent had our amended version back with additional data as we cant send it til we know what hubby supposed to have done! your thoughts please.

For a kick-off, writing in this manner makes it really hard to read, so frankly I can't be bothered to try and follow all the nuances.
However if you are asking a legal question, it is most unlikely that he will be dismissed and it is more likely that he will end up with a Written Warning regarding his conduct, following an investigation during which he will be interviewed. The letter should state what the required standards are, and will be probably terminate in a phrase along the lines of 'failure to maintain a suitable level of conduct in future may lead to further disciplinary measures that may ultimately lead to your dismissal'.
