Are any shares held taken into account when applying for legal aid (in a civil case), or is it just income and/or savings etc. that are declared? My mother is 76 and working part-time, but is paying a fortune to a solicitor to represent her in a family court against Social Services.

why does she need representation at that age contact me I am asocial worker with 25 years experiences i may be able to help and you can verify my registration

thanks to all for advice. arline, social services are not doing what they should re: her access to grand-daughter in foster care. only way is through court.
