My partner is married, but seperated from the wife. The wife is supposedly sorting out the divorce.
How long does this take, especially when the "other party" is meant to be sorting it out?
Because my partner said it would be sorted by the end of Feb, but nothing yet & I don't want to keep asking him.

Is there anyway I can find out ifthe process has even been started? I do not have a case number to quote, as I don't know if it's been started.

Also, does it cost anything?

Hope someone can advise.

i swear i read this post the other day
it depends on how long they have been married, how long they have been seperated and whether theyboth want it or not

thanks bednobs, yes you did, but i didn't get anywhere then, so i'm trying again.
I really just want to find out if the process has been started. am i able to contact hmcs & ask that? the trouble is, i would only have the names of both parties.

I've literally been waitng years.
Why can't your partner beging the process if they are sick of waiting for their ex to do it?
sounds like your partner still has feelings for her. you're better off without him.
