my next door neighbour has taken in a stray cat and has the temerity to call it Abraham. Under British law can I strangle him and sleep with his daughters.

Abraham was the father of the Jewish peoples (via Isaac) and the Arab peoples (via Ishmael), but I don't think is revered as a prophet ? It's also the point at which the Old Testament becomes interesting reading and probably even historical.
