how long does it normally take Tony Blair to reply to a letter? i sent him one personally instead of doing it through the website and i was just curious. Thanks!!

Of course Tony will never see the letter.
You will receive one of the many standard letters that are already in existence each covering a different topic.

great!! thanks, roughly how long do you reckon?
I can remember writing to Margaret Thatcher, asking if she'd like to make a small donation to our cause which was in the process of being given charitable status. Two weeks later, a letter came back (not from the lady herself of course!), and they enclosed a photo, suggesting that we might like to raffle it off. No one seemed interested, and eventually it was pinned up on the office wall, where it was used as a dart board.

that would be a good idea- bet that dartboard had a lot of use out of it eh!!
I wrote to my MP. I heard nothing for 10 weeks and then got a short letter from her plus a full letter from a civil servant that she had forwarded my letter to. Waste of time.
The best way to get an answer from an MP personally is always to tell them you are a member of their party. This usually does the trick.
