I have a question for an assignment about Equality the questions is Identify 3 potential causes of discrimination and list 2 possible consequences of discrimination - can anybody help please??

Example 1: A company insists that all of its employees must wear the uniform baseball cap, or face dismissal. This could be regarded as religious discrimination if the workforce (or job applicants) include members of the Sikh community ;
Example 2: A company advertises jobs with the words "We seek applicants who are keen to join a young and vibrant team". This would fall foul of the laws on age discrimination.
Example 3: An employee mentions that he's taken part in a 'gay pride' demonstration. His boss then cancels his place on a training course which employees who're seeking promotion must attend. This would be discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation.
The legal consequences of discrimination can be
(i) the employer's actions are referred to a tribunal and
(ii) the employer may be ordered to pay compensation to the employee (and/or reinstate the employee if the discrimination led to dismissal).
Other consequences of discrimination include the loss of valuable skills to a company (because an applicant isn't appointed, an employee isn't promoted or an employee is sacked or forced to resign) and . . . Hang on a minute. Who's meant to be doing this assignment, you or me? Actually, I think I've done it all anyway ;-)

Thank you so much!!! Its actually for my nephew whos doing it as part of his decorating course, and they have thrown this at him last minute and hes not too sure about it as they haven't covered it in class just been given the assignment and told to look on the net and in books, well he hasn't got access to the net so I said I find it out for him, thank you very much anyway
