My supper's nearly ready.
Chippy tonight. :-)
After about four months my family has finally found a date on which we can all attend a big celebration next year. :-)

I know it's Ireland, Nicebloke but the rain we're having is beyond normal.
Looking forward to Moussaka, made by daughter's partner.

Daughter is sending me home with pretty storage boxes that she no longer needs. I'll give her plants in return. Not sure that's good news but it pleases me.
Mrs Arrods (three-yearly) mammogram came back clear.
That’s great, Arrods.
My dog had a fit today but he’s fine now. Thanks my good news.
aww sweet Arrods xx
That’s not ‘thanks’.
you dirty-o-***, harrods - happy new year and enjoy. pleased for you both...
Good news just in! Four American rowers, known to my rowing family and who work, row and raise funds to help people with mental health problems have been rescued on their row across The Atlantic.

Their boat capsized in dreadful conditions and couldn't be righted. A ship diverted and rescued them. Happy family here...... :-)
phew G !!
Phew indeed, Minty. My cousin did the same rowing challenge last December. We were worried for her the whole time. The weather for it this year has been awful.
rowing the Atlantic in December with cyclone bombs around? That was always going to end well, I suppose.
I didn't have to go to Warrington today.
It's a yearly tradition for charities, Jno. Raises many thousands of pounds, dollars and euros. Very bad conditions have been rare on the route they row at this time of year. My cousin had a brilliant row last year. She sent photos of calm seas and blue skies.
Of course there are some rough times. 2015 was bad I think. The wind is mostly from behind and helps....or has been!
you surprise me, gness, but fair enough. All the same, are they tied to doing it on dates they've announced?. Personally, if I found there was going to be a cyclone in the path of my rowing boat I'd put it off for a week or two.
Maybe they will look at a different time for future rows. It's a huge event with hundreds of rowers from around the world and a great deal of organisation so putting it off for a couple of weeks at the last minute isn't an option.
Cyclone? I thought they were rowing?
Kept their options open, Douglas. :-)
