Had my 89 yr old sister on the phone in tears can’t get through to my 63 yr old niece who lives alone for two days either on landline or mobile, I tried ( same) my friend works as a dispatcher for Northumbria Police and was working from home, she did a hospital check and niece is in our local hospital where they’re getting her blood sugars sorted, she had no mobile with her to tell anyone and is worried about her cat , relief has flooded through me and my sister is calmer so me and my daughter will get the spare key off my sister and go and feed thd cat …..and it’s not even 12-30 , phew !
Thats the problem with mobiles -we rely on them for all the phone numbers instead of remembering them. Maybe advise her to keep an emergency phone number with her at all times in case she has to ring someone on a land line and has no phone.
APG as far as I’m aware her blood sugars were 34 + which is very very high , I’ll find out more when we go and feed her cat then drop off her phone at the hospital, not sure we’ll be able to see her the way things are though but at least we know where she is
So glad your friend is a dispatcher for the police Bobbs, that helped enormously didn't it ? Happy for the family that it's all been sorted and that puss will now be seen too. Deep breaths Bobbs .....
I assume his food will be in the cupboards at home which he will be used too, or are you taking some cat food with you ? A cat I feed around here who is left out all the time, loves chicken and I make sure he gets as much as he wants !
