Paul McCartney pocketed £1 million for his stint at the Olympic Opening Ceremony - about 10 minutes. Oh dear.

Oh well.

Just teasing ummmm - he really only picked up £1 . . .yes One Pound
Well no wonder he doesn`t care that he no longer has it. I`d sing in public with my awful voice for that money....I think.
I`d have to give it more thought for £1.
Really?

Fair play to him/them.
£1 seems about right considering he sounded like a tape recorder running out of batteries

Good job the crowd sounded like The Beatles or it'd be a pound badly spent
I take it the person who gave the pound didn't have the right amount and Macca had no change on him.
I don't like Paul McCartney and thought that may have coloured my opinion of his 'singing'. However I have not yet heard one person say anything good about his performance.

Maybe they will be able to get their £1 coin back.

I wish he would learn another song.

Bleeding Hey Jude again.
Oh well Hopkirk, Live and Let.....Live
Yeah, he played Live and Let Die at the Jubilee.

Not very appropriate I thought.

Perhaps he should have sung Hey Jude.
well he really needs the money !! pathetic Paul he should call himself now.
who decided on that amount ?
It was £1 more than he was worth, in fact he should have paid £1million to charity to inflict that cacophany on us.
Personally I think it was 99p too much.
One of the greatest Artists of all time, I'm really not understanding all this McCartney bashing. Yes, well past his best but even his worst is better anyone posting here could even hope to achieve.

Morning all .
I would be willing to work for ten minutes for a million quid. I am sorry but The Beatles have had their day in case anyone is still pining for the Sixties.

Why was I not asked to perform at the Opening Ceremony?
for under performance, he should be made to give it back.
