I know the maximum sentence for this is 14 years, but what happens if they are multiple counts? My friend (age 18), died last year in a car crash, along with 3 members of a family I know and another teenage girl. The boy driving (only survivor typical) has pled guilty to 5 counts of death by dangerous driving. any idea how sentencing works in this type of case?

Multiple victims from one incident is an aggravating factor that may indicate his sentence could be towards the maximum 14 years, but this can be offset by mitigating factors such as an excellent driving record.

Towards the bottom it relates the incident of 'boy racers' causing the deaths of four people - the sentence was 8 years.
