If a person kills someone whilst driving should they not automatically be charged and convicted with this. After all there should be no dispute of the offence if someone is dead.

Also why does life imprisonment not mean life. Imprisoned until you die?

Not if their driving was not dangerous.

Take an extreme view - if someone is killed because they drive the wrong way up a motorway and the person who hits them survives - do you want to charge and convict them automatically?
No. I was in an accident in 2000 - the motorcyclist died on the spot after riding at over 100 mph, banking on a blind bend and colliding with my car as I drove at proper speed, on my side of the road.
His head hit my windscreen he was banked over so much.

So, should I be in prison?

The motorcyclist was driving dangerously - that was stated at the inquest.
Another no here too

For the reason Ethel states

Just because one person dies in an accident doesn't mean the 'alive' person automatically becomes the dangerous driver.
