Anyone know if you can get a mortgage if you are not working?

A mortgage provider is going to want a guarantee that the monthly payment will be made. If you can't prove that you can do this they simply won't be able to give you one.

There are some companies that would offer you a self cert mortgage but the terms and conditions and interest rates are usually extortionate.
