It's almost a year since the passing of a relative and these people seem to be ignoring emails and basically stopped communicating , we was in the belief everything would be completed by the end of December 2010 , we are getting a little suspicious now .
Where do you go to complain about people like this ?
They're just off the rainford bypass in the village by the look of it. they don't seem to be a firm of solicitors though, not in the traditional sense anyway.
They have a company address here:

Are they acting as the executors? If so, I recall that they do have 12 months to finalise the accounts. Has it been more than 12 months?
Anyway, a phone call is the best bet. But of course they may not be able to tell you anything because of confidentiality reasons
No they are not executors , its my mother in law who is the executor , it will be 12 months in June i think but they are ignoring emails now and trying to get them on the phone never proves easy.
Yes she has a copy of the will and she applied for probate , allguard are dealing with everything for her for a fee ... it seems they are sitting on it and weeks and months go by and we hear nothing , its bang out of order , just wandering where to go with this or who to complain to ?
Has she paid anything yet? If not I would give them a time limit to finalise things and if they don`t finalise by a certain date, state that you want all documents etc returned. It`s possible to do probate yourself. You have to make an appointment at a probate court and it certainly doesn`t take months to get an appointment. My sister had her husband`s probate done and dusted herself in a few months. We used a solicitor for my dad`s probate and he dragged his heels a bit. I think he was waiting until he had several cases to take to probate court so that he could do them all together to save money. Maybe that`s what allguardwills are doing.
Shes not paid anything yet , she sent the oaths back to probate 6 weeks ago which should be the last thing to do , allguard said they should receive the oaths back within 2 weeks and that should be it.
Its already taken about 10 months , i know you can do it yourself but just haven't got the time.
The most annoying thing is their appalling communication , leaving us not knowing why its taking so long.
