Hi Everyone, I am the executor of my late fathers estate. He had several bank accounts. The banks all have different 'limits' for probate....is this limit a collective limit or for the individual bank. For example one bank says anything over £5000 will require probate. This particular account has only a few hundred quid in it, but the whole estate is over £5000....so does this bank require probate or not....

As far as I remember it's the bank's limit.
No probate needed in this case... its a figure set by the bank for accounts with them
