Please some one help, i am trying to become a good speller but it just will not click. I am 32 and did not do that well at school because i got in with the wrong crowd and home life was sh##t, i have a good job in a office as a surveyor, god knows how, blagging it i think. but now work in manchester and things are getting harder, i was going to put some big words in this question, but i can not spell them. am i missing something! is there a technique? should i read more or drink less.

Probably drink less is a good idea!! Lol

Lots of Education Authorities offer free adult courses for learning English in local areas. It may be worth checking them out......and if you're put off going to any, just remember that everyone there is in a similar situation and just wants to better themselves and theres nothing wrong with that!

There are lots of sites that you can google that will help you learn how to improve your spelling too.
