What Shall I Do About This Job?

Yesterday I got a txt from my job at the care home to say there is no point doing 3 hours per week so will send my p45 and next week wages. Think I might have told you this but they reduced my hours from 30 to 9 hours per week I'm now in a cleaning job cleaning houses 21 hours per was longer Monday-Wednesday but I'm not sure about so hoping to do warehouse work.I regret my decision now to change my days in the care home. I've not had a good day today as supervisor giving me a hard time saying I haven't touched things when I've tried to clean them and it's bad cleaning she find it hard to believe I was a cleaner . They reckon I'm not listening but concentration is my weekness

Thanks, Abbey. I wouldn't say the care home 'sacked' you - you were the one who changed the days and hours you could work. I  can't see any employer thinking 'working  only three a hours a week, and she'll be off like a shot when a proper job comes along - yes, let's keep her.'

No or they would be if they thought I was just able to live on 9 hours all my life. Will they still give a reference if needed?

Abbey, if it were me, I'd just phone up and ask them. Employers don't have to provide references, but if they do they have to be 'fair and accurate'.

Re. the possibilities of autism: a few years ago the most brilliant 12 yr. old reader I had in Library period challenged me and I was finding suitable poems, Shakespeare bits etc. ll the time for him.  Now onhe of the members of my writing group is a lady of about your age.  She is highly autistic with problems with personal relationships --- but she is a wonderful, repeat wonderful poet.  She only thinks in concepts and suitable word rhythms.  Totally marvellous output. She goes around allsorts of grroups and gatherings giving readings of her 'poems'.

Obviously you aren't like that, but you do have specific skills.

Sit down, list thethings you like doing and the things you know (know, not think) you are good at  doing and see where that list  takes you.  😃
