I am happy where I am but they've now said they can only give me 2 hours Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Friday so I don't know what to do.

Well done, abbey.  Just tell your mum.  What's not to be pleased about?  You've done well.

Abbey, why don't you answer the question folk are asking you?

They go to the trouble of trying to help you and you give a one-line reply.

Sorry I feel like I upset my supervisor and I feel terrible I feel so bad as I didn't get all my work done as the inspector was here and didn't know what I had to do or what no to do.

What a pickle...

Did you manage to have a chat with the boss ?

You still feel as though you are under pressure. I don't  suppose that the inspector helped suddenly arriving. They have a habit of doing that !

Question Author

No as there was no round to assist weather I get told off Monday who knows

the other thing you have to think about with a 2 hr a day job is travel costs.  say it costs you £5 to get there and back on the bus.  If you did 8 hrs in 1 day, you'd get your wages and only have to pay £5 expenses.  If you have to do 8 hrs over 4 days, you have the same wages, but are spending £20 on expenses

Question Author

I spend £50 a month on travel

Abbey I don't think they can tell you off. Obviously the inspector interrupted your working day.

Like I couldn't do my deep clean and didn't up dispenser in kitchen and left something out cupboard as couldn't fit my trolley in

Inspectors have a habit of upsetting everyone's routine and you obviously got affected by the visit. It's all done now, so rest and try and enjoy the weekend until Monday when hopefully all will be settled.

"I didn't know what to do or what not to do" This, I think, is the problem. To my mind you should have just got on with your work as usual. The inspector would have wanted to see the daily routine. Did you have a daily schedule of what had to be done, if so you should have just worked as usual

Abbey/ Can I ask about your duties  .... how many resident's rooms are you responsible for (how big is the Care Home)? Or, are you just responsible for corridors, kitchen, sitting room, etc?
Two hours doesn't seem very long.  Also, do you work alone or
part of a team? Thanks.

Question Author

I got the job but how do I tell my mum as she doesn't know care home had reduced my hours

Just tell her for goodness sake! How many hours do you have at your new job (well done by the way) and are you still going to carry on where you are?

Question Author

20 hours in home bargains and yes if I didn't get this a colleuge said can't I do 30 hours till I find a job with more hours but hey I haven't gotta worry

Congratulations Abbey...well done. If you were my daughter I'd be pleased and happy with you. You didn't waste any time finding a job to fill in the hours. I hope it goes well for you. Just tell your mum your hours were cut but you've already found another job to fill in.
