I am happy where I am but they've now said they can only give me 2 hours Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Friday so I don't know what to do.

Well done, abbey.  Just tell your mum.  What's not to be pleased about?  You've done well.

Yes, no legal entitlement to a break of any kind if the working day is 6 hours or less

Question Author

I have 20 mins break but turns out in Monday Wednesday Friday not Tuesday and extended my probation so will start looking for another job

If they have extended your probation then in my opinion they are not happy with your work.

That is your last 2 employers that have not been happy with your work - you have to ask what you can do to improve.

Question Author

Not with this role but they might ask me to help out with holidays I'm getting another job in retail hopefully

You said that they have extended your probation - they only do this if they are unhappy with you or you have not settled in as expected

Question Author

They've given me different role and extended to 9 hours

So 9 hrs a week not 8.... but still far less than 30.

Question Author

Yeah so going for a job in cleaning and retail to do aswell. I did cleaning in McDonald's for 5 years.

OK... Good luck...  maybe your better with shorter shifts at 2 places. What's your career aspiration though.  Do you want to be cleaning for mcds in 5 years?

Question Author

No they overwork you

no they expect you to work for a living!

Abbey at 30 I would have expected to have to work fulltime not mess around at hours here and there - how do you pay bills?

So what is your ideal job for in say 3 years time...something your good at you enjoy and will allow you to get on housing ladder. What would it be ideally

Red...I believe Abbey lives at home.

OK...

Thanks Pasta

Question Author

I got an interview Monday

For what?

Question Author

Retail work

When answering, abbey, could you please be more specific and give all the details you know, it will save posters from having to ask numerous questions

Abbey/  Having followed your threads/posts for quite some time and noticing how you don't stay in jobs for any length of time for one reason or another  ...  I am wondering if perhaps you might find it more advantageous to sign on with a temp agency in your chosen field of work?

Question Author

That's not secure job they only call when there's work going
