Posted two heavy parcels from London, first class, on Monday. One to Berkshire and one to Liverpool. Neither have arrived.. is this due to postal strike do you think?

Unless things have changed, with a 1st class letter or parcel you should be able to track it, by returning to either the post office or your nearest D.O.
Hi smurf
Ordered a "gift" and paid for it last Thursday. I have proof it was posted on Friday yet it didn't arrive until today !! I strongly think it was due to the postal strikes.

Yes, inevitably.
very much so with two days of them farting around and not serving their customers, shooting themselves in their feet as to future employment as well.
I'm waiting for an item that was posted last Wednesday...the following 2 days were strike days, as were Wednesday and Thursday this week.
I've been wondering how long it takes to catch up with deliveries while undelivered post is piling up in sorting offices.
I’m still waiting for a letter that was posted on the 11th of November!
