Hi, Ive been working in an office for the last 15 or so years. Im a forty something software eng. My eyes are finally beginning to go and I am getting truly fed up with looking at a screen all day everyday. I would like a job with a bit of variety and an outside element to it but cannot think of anything that might suit and also offer more than an insignificant wage. I like being out in the countryside and seeing wild life and also like being out on the water. Wonder if something like a forest ranger, photographer or some sort of surveyor job might suit. Any ideas and inputs welcomed!

Your local forestry commision might be looking for staff, theres always a need for outdoor people as theres always the dreaded UK weather (if your from the UK that is).

Most Websites that are made for this sort of pursuit has some kind of Careers page or vacancy section.

Good luck because theres nothing more mundane that sitting at a pc screen all day, theres more to life.
