Hi have just had an internal wall removed load bearing -work done by insured builder-but what about my home insurance-they all refer to structural alterations as being omitted from the policy-does this removal of this wall equate to structural alterations?

Yes. Did the steelwork get calculated by a structural engineer, or did the builder just guess? Did you or the builder consult with your local building regs dept? If not you might face difficulties when selling, as well as with your insurers.
clearly it is (to me) structural

I think you will need to reinsure - as I wd have thought your current insurance is now void.

other than that I think you are OK
