just noticed that my firewall (sygate) isn't in the system tray as it should be.I tried clicking numerous times on its desktop item - nothing, i then went into program files folders -folders opened but clicked on icon - nothing, Then rebooted - but nothing.v confused.Only software recently added was quicktime.

why not try using msconfig and seeing of its still there in the programme listing, if youre not sure, go to RUN option, type in MSCONFIG and go to the start up tab, this shows what programmes are running at Start up but also those for which an icon appears in your system tray - if its there but unchecked see what happens when you tick it and re-boot?

If its Windows XP have you tried the system restore option as a last resort.

thanks it is in msconfig and also in task manager (smc.exe) worried it might possibly be a spyware prob.
