I have a big old front door that used to be for a Bank. The lock has suddenly seized up. The door closes, then there is a lower lock which closes unver the handle. THEN you turn the key and the door locks. The bottom lock has seized up and you have to really push to get it to lock. Any idea what is wrong with it? There have been massive dirty roadworks going on literally outslde the front door all evening- stuff flying through the air etc. Would this have done anything to it?

THANKS

The dirty roadworks could have fouled it, yes. Perhaps you could call a locksmith to come look at it?
