Explain this to the company and ask if they'll advance you some of your wages on the 26th, most companies I've worked for would be happy to do this and understand the reasons why
If the company won't sort out an interim payment, then you may be able to get a loan (or even a further payment) from the DWP
I agree with chuck. The employer will probably be able to ensure you get paid on the 26th. In addition, if you sign-off on 15 August won't you still have some JSA to come?
I don't think she'll be able to get a DWP loan, sunny-dave. I know when i looked into this for me. I think you have to have been on benefits for quite some time.
Oooh tinks you must be so excited. Good luck.
our payday is 25th cut off is 14th and there is nothing we'll do about it, they would get paid 25th of the next month and we don't give loans or advances on salary....

Check with them now tinks then the JSA to see what you'll have
... but they may set her up on the payroll before she starts if she asks.

Iv been on hold for 30mins grrrrr ill keep calling job to ask then ask job centre.... Either way i cant sit with nooo money til 26 sept lol

Thanks all :) xxx
It's not easy to go 6 weeks without pay, but it's not uncommon to have to wait over 4 weeks for one's first pay when you start a job. Hopefully they'll sort something out at work though. I can't see the DWP doing anything. You should be able to see from your bank statements or DWP docs what periods your last payment covered and then work out when the next payment is due and what you'll get

Thanks... Going to be murder if it is cos mum & dad are on holiday in sept and i ws planning a trip!! Eeeeek!!!!! X
Just keep away from payday loans.
i did wonder that Factor, i guess it depends on the systems they use, i can't set an employee up with a start date in the future.
If you have a credit card then pay as much as you can on that as the bill probably won't need to be paid until after you get paid.
Also make sure that you are on the right tax code so that when you do get paid they won't take too much tax off

I dont have any credit cards etc.

Just have to sit tight!!!! X
If your employer won't give you a pay advance get a letter from them stating this, get a bank letter saying you don't have an overdraft and apply for a DWP Crisis Loan. You may be lucky.

Thanks yorky!! I still cant get through back on hold grrrr xx
You might be able to get an advance paid direct to your bank, tinks, but you need to ask HR now - am I right that you will be in the Health Service not a private provider? if so, our pay cut off date is the 4th of the month, to be paid on the 24th (so similar to yours). In theory, yes you could be without money, so check now with the HR team.
sorry, that was me not him ^^
I'm sure your employer will not expect you to work 6 weeks before you get paid. They should have made arrangements for you to get something this month. Easy answer is to ring and ask them :-)
