Hi Dodger. Maybe that'll be a good thing then! Please tell me more if it isnt too complicated lol (I'm not hot on changes to things) x
You can create additional folders into which you can save e-mails, Click on the "+" sign to right of "FOLDER" under "TRASH" on the left hand side column. It will ask you what you want to name the new Folder. Type in whatever you want, eg Friends, Work etc. I think you then need to click "OK" to confirm the new Folder name. The new named Folder will appear under the title "Folder". Create as many Folders as you require, they appear alphabetically. Click on the mail you wish to save, then click on the icon to the right of "Spam". A list of the Folders you have created will appear as a list under icon, click on the Folder name where you wish to save that e-mail. You can also "drag and drop" e-mails to the appropriate Folder. Hope I have described that adequately and that it works!
If you do not wish to see the list of Folders in the left hand column, click on the downward pointing arrow to the left of "Folders" in the left hand column, click the right pointing arrow to show them.

hi DocHH. mmm sounds a bit complicated to me! I think I'll wait untill i'm in a more positive mood and maybe try that. It used to be so simple x
Thank you so much for replies
I promise it's not complicated, I save my emails in Yahoo Mail into folders all the time.
It's not too complicated pusskin. Why Yahoo Mail didn't give us an easier method I don't know. But as long as you follow the instructions you should be OK.

I use BT Yahoo Mail myself which this method works for. I would think it's the same for Yahoo Mail. If it isn't you've nothing to lose by trying it. Just follow the steps and you should be OK. It may be a good idea to write the instructions down otherwise they will be in much larger text after you reduce your screen resolution to "Less". You can keep this web page open if you like but it may be inconvenient to read the large text.

I use XP, I assume for other Operating Systems the process will be similar. I am sure someone will say if it's a different method to reduce screen resolution for Vista or 7:-

1. Completely close Yahoo Mail, don't minimise it, close it.

2. Right click on your Desktop. (the desktop is the screen you first get after switching your PC on, where all your programme icons are).

3. Select "Properties".

4. Select "Settings".

5. Slide the "Screen Resolution" arrow from "More" to "Less".

6. Click OK. Now wait for the change to take place. After which your icons/words on the desktop will be larger.

7. Re-open Yahoo Mail and you should now see a button/words which say you can select to "Return to Classic Version" for one time only or another which says something like switch back for good. I can't remember the exact wording but it should be obvious. Click the one you prefer.

8. When you have done that repeat above procedure. steps 1 to 6, to change your screen resolution back to normal, i.e. move slider from "Less" to "More" then click OK.

If you have any queries on the process ask before starting.

If you find the facility isn't there any more you will have to change your screen resolution back to normal and find out another way to cure your problem.

Good Luck.

The creating of folders is far less complicated than what I have said. I just didn't like the new Yahoo Mail that's why I reverted to Classic. To be truthful I don't use it much, I normally use Outlook Express. I get BT Yahoo Mail thrown in with BT Internet. I go into it occasionally as it filters spam e-mails and sometimes it filters out e-mails that aren't spam.

if I do all that --will it link up with all the other saved emails?
Really dont know where they are right now. Obviously, their where I put them, but wont be able to find them. HELP haha.
Pusskin, where is that stiff upper lip? OK, I know the answer, above the loose flabby chin! Have no fear, you will not lose those e-mails you saved in "Classic"! To be honest the new format is much better!
