Has Outlook 2013 Deleted The Emails That I Had Saved In Various Folders?

When I opened Outlook 2013 earlier today to get my emails it looked as if it was rapidly deleting all the folders that I have set up on the left hand side of the screen to categorize emails that I want to save.
The folders are all back now however when I click on them it says that there is nothing to show.
My inbox still has the emails that were in it and is downloading new ones. But can I somehow retrieve the contents of all the other folders?

Thanks for that link Buenchico. To be honest I didn't understand all of it! I tried one of the options and it looked as if nothing happened but when I came back to it a couple of hours later the emails had all reappeared!

One problem that I am left with is that my inbox has now renamed itself the name of a subfolder - but right-clicking it doesn't give me the option to rename it.
That said, a couple of months ago my Junk file relocated itself to further down the list of folders (ie in alphabetical order instead of staying at the top of the list with the Inbox and Sent items etc) and I've had to learn to live with it so maybe it will be the same with a misnamed Inbox?!

I have also just noticed that my Sent and Deleted folders (although at the top of the list of files where they should be) have also renamed themselves. They have each duplicated the name of one of the other folders.

Does anyone know how to fix this please?
