I have a Samsung C3050.
How do I transfer the number of a new caller directly to the phone book?
If not transferring directly, how do I find the + to put in, as in +44?
Thanks

The + symbol isn't used. It signifies ''add the international call access prefix here''. That's the prefix to let the exchange know you're making an international call using the numbers that follow. Different countries use different codes for this. In the UK the prefix for an international call is 00. The 44 is the country code for the UK, which you wouldn't use if making a call within the UK.
The plus is on the zero key (at least in this picture):

On many phones, you press and hold the zero key until the plus appears.

I like to have all my numbers including the country code, because that way, if you travel abroad at any time, you don't need to make any changes.

Thanks rojash that works. Didn't realise that holding down did it. Agree with you that I like all country codes in.
Now I need an answer to the first question!
