combi stop heating just the water, c/h still working. now the boiler fires up even when the water is not running

Could be the valve that gives priority to DHW is bust/stuck

Could be in the electronics

Doesn't sound a DIY job to me.

I had one of these before I moved (a good old Potterton now, thank God) and it was always playing up. 9 times out of ten it was something called a 'therma couple'?
